Have the mountain ahead wait for me while I pick wild roses.

I found some pretty roses just as I was about to climb a mountain. Just walking toward the goal is one way of being a pilgrim, but making a side stop is another way. The mountain ahead of me will sit there, dignified, no matter what I am doing, and will wait for me forever.

The mountainfs benevolent bosom is like a godfs bosom. As I picked some wild roses at the foot of the mountain, I felt as though I was playing on the large bosom of god.

Red is the Amapola, wishing to see you.

gAmapolah is the red poppy that blooms in Spain.

Walking along the pilgrim roads, one reminisces about various people; friends and family I left back in Japan, the fellow pilgrim that I met on the road, or the village folks who gave me a cup of coffee. Hand shade, looking back at the road behind me in a cool breeze.

I decided to rest on a hill top where the view was good. I had been walking for a while without ever looking around or taking a rest. Looking back with my hand on my forehead to shade my eyes, the road stretched a long way behind me.

It had been a hard and difficult walk, but strange to say, I felt attached to the road where I had walked. Perhaps it was because I had walked so hard. The breeze that blew over the hill top felt especially cool on my body and soul.

A small shade, shared with fellow pilgrims.

After walking endlessly along wheat fields under the burning sun, we finally came to a single shade tree. There were many of us fellow pilgrims who had walked a long way in the hot son.

We pilgrims all understood how difficult the journey had been up to this point. By no means was the shade under the tree large, but we rested there by moving over just a bit for the others. Not only by walking, but also by sharing such things as a small bit of shade with each other do we join together in this pilgrimage. We pilgrims are able to keep on walking because we help each other in various situations.
