Telling a lie, crossing her muled sandaled bare legs.
When one tells a lie, it makes him/her somewhat nervous, and it shows in his/her attitude.
Mules are sandals without the heels. It is a regular new fashion among young girls to wear these muled sandals on their bare feet.
The girl with these muled sandals looks as if she is used to telling lies, but perhaps with her sense of guilt, her gesture of re-crossing her legs shows her little lie.

Early summer on motorbikes, roaring through the approach path to the shrine.
Some youth on their motorbikes went roaring through the approach path to a Shinto shrine under its tunnel of fresh leaves. Essentially people are supposed to walk reverently to the shrine through this path. But for those crazy youth on motorbikes, the sacred path to the shrine is just a road.
Roaring on their motorbikes, the youthsf summer has begun.

Bird week, hair wrapped in a bandana.
There are lots of ways to use a bandana these days. Young people freely enjoy using bandanas, wrapping them as scarves or using them as accents to their clothing.
Especially in Shibuya or Shinjuku, we see young people with their hair wrapped in bandanas. Although it is a fashion among the urban youth, during bird week it gives instead a healthy impression as if they love nature and the outdoor life.

There are so many kinds of straps for mobile phones. To change your strap to mach to the seasons or your feelings is the fashionable thing to do these days. One day I saw some young people with seashells on their phone straps, and I felt that summer was here.
gSpring is gone, summer is almost here, butterflies drying their white wings, heavenly Kaguyama.h (Emperor Jiju) As shown by this waka (31-syllable Japanese poem) when it was created, in the ancient days people used to feel the arrival of summer in the white cloth drying in the green leaves. But, with the changes of our new age, we feel the presence of summer in seashells on phone straps.
