August 6th became the evening breeze.
August 6th is the commemoration day of the first use of the atomic bomb. On this day in 1945, an atomic bomb was dropped over Hiroshima for the first time in the history of the world, and it has claimed many precious lives. In Japan we call this day "Atomic Day". As we look back at this tragic event that took place 55 years ago, we can only pray for a peace that will never allow it to happen again.
According to our haiku calendar, August 6th is already close to the fall season, but the heat of the sun is still strong. Although we think of Atomic Day as unbearably hot, no matter how intense the heat of the day may be, in time the evening will come, and give us the relief of a cooling breeze.
When we suffer from intense agony or pain, it always brings a light of hope to comfort us like the cool evening breeze. Maybe these past 55 years have been the accumulation of these days of pain and hope.

Coming home on holiday, waiting are a globe and a guitar.
As soon as any family finds out that their son or daughter who is working or studying in a large city is coming home for his or her summer holiday, they get busy cleaning the house, airing out their child's room and bedding and preparing their favorite dishes. They get ready to welcome their child home.
However, it is not only the family that is waiting for this child. An old globe and a guitar used since childhood are also longing to see this child come home. The room whose master has been absent for a while, is also waiting for the activities and breathing of its master.

A large beetle, the boy I bullied long ago.
When we were in elementary school, both boys and girls used to go catch large beetles. At that age, girls are often taller and stronger than boys.
Because girls are also more talkative, they assume leadership roles in recreation and academics. Some girls even make boys cry.
However, wanting to bully boys a little is perhaps only an evidence of the fact that girls are aware of boys as the opposite sex.
I wonder what kind of man the boy I bullied has grown intoc?

A spray of perfume for the end of her journey.
For a woman, perfume is not just one of her cosmetics. She uses sweet fragrance for parties and on dates, and a fresh citrus fragrance for business occasions. She can change her feelings by selecting a different perfume for each occasion. Sometimes without being aware of it, the fragrance she chooses reflects her inner feelings that day. Or she might realize a new love is beginning because she has changed her perfume.
It is because of the delicate workings of a woman's mind that she takes a bottle of perfume with her on her journey. On the morning of the last day of her journey, she sprays on a bit of her favorite perfume, hoping that her last day will be the most memorable day.
