Surfing, setting out with Neptune's gaze on his back.

Surfers always ride the waves with their backs facing out to sea.

Behind them there is only the limitless sea. I wonder how it feels to have a limitless space behind me. I wonder if they feel fear or insecurity, or do they feel the gaze of something from the sea behind them? Watching the surfers, I often think about it.

Neptune is the God of the Sea in Roman mythology. A surfer has the gaze of his lover from the beach, and Neptune's gaze on his back. If a surfer who loves the sea can feel the god's gaze on his back, he is very lucky. But I think it depends on Neptune's mood. It may be a protective gaze or it may be a jealous gaze of a god eager to take his life of such a superb young man.

After a bath lying with damp hair on summer tatami mats.

If you are Japanese you can appreciate the feeling of complete relaxation of throwing yourself down onto tatami mats. How refreshing and relaxing it is to stretch yourself out on tatami after washing off the day's sweat and fatigue in a hot bath!

After my bath I let down my wrapped-up hair while it is still damp, and throw myself down onto cool tatami mats. How carefree and relaxing it is to feel the coolness of the smooth tatami and the cool evening breeze blowing in through the reed screen.

For the Japanese, a woman wearing a summer cotton kimino or a cotton dress, lying on tatami mats with her long black hair spread out around her is a healthy but rather sexy image.

Yacht arriving, docking in the midst of festival.

By coincidence, the port town where we arrived while we were cruising was right in the midst of festival. The whole town was in a festive mood, decorated with festive colors and lanterns, and filled with the exciting sounds of festival flutes and drums, and all of the people were smiling.

It was a completely different world from which I had just come.Until only a few minutes before I had been surrounded by the quiet world of the blue open sea and the sounds of waves. The moment we arrived at the port, I was as shocked and bewildered as if I had just moved into a different dimension.

But the bewilderment was only momentary. As soon as we stood on the dock of this exciting festive port, all of us on the yacht became one with the people at the festival.

Noctiluca,soon two are left alone.

It was a summer night and I had gone out cruising with my yachting friends. We had anchored our yacht out at sea and were enjoying talking in the cool breeze. But, one by one my friends had gone into their cabins for the night, and I realized that I had been left alone on deck with special someone I had on my mind. There were beautiful noctilucent lights on the surface of the sea. I remember how romantic I felt because it was my gift from the god to be left alone with him.

You might have been camping or something, when you suddenly realized that you had been left alone with your special someone. You have at one time or another experienced such a precious, heart-throbbing, half joyful and half bewildered moment in your life, haven't you?

Driving through midnight with a bouquet of roses on the passenger seat.

Suddenly he appeared in the middle of night. On the seat where I always sit he had a large bouquet of roses. Although it was not my birthday or any special day for us, he surprised me with a bouquet of roses in the middle of night.

It goes without saying that this unexpected gift made me very happy. But it must have made him even happier to drive here in his car with a bouquet next to him, all the while imagining his loved one's very special smile.
