Santa Clause starts talking after his interpreter joins him.

I went to a Christmas event with my children to see real Santa Clause from Finland. The Santa Clause came out in front of kids in applause carrying a big bag packed with full of presents. The Santa Clause was attended by a simultaneous translator. The Santa Clause seems like a magician who can do anything he wants to do. But it seems that he could not overcome the reality of language barrier. By the way, the Santa Clause arrived thirty minuets late because of his airplane's delay. Kids asked the Santa Clause "Why were you late?" and he answered "Because one of my reindeer sprained his leg."

After the Christmas Eve service, looking up at the different stars.

My boyfriend and I went to the mass on holy night. When we came out of the church, we both looked up at the stars as if to make our wishes. When we pointed at the different stars in the different directions, I thought this meant we might have separate wishes even though our hearts were together. But isn't it natural that we all have our own will, and it may create better relationship when we can respect each other's dreams? This sense of distance between us satisfied me. Unexpectedly I was watching his face in profile as he looked up at the sky. then suddenly he became so much dearer to me. I wished to keep on respecting his dreams and his life style from now on.

Being with you, yet seeing you in my dreams on Holy Night.

Holy Night is the night to spend with a person you love. This night, as I lay sleeping in his arms I dreamed that I was meeting him. A woman in love would wish to be always with that special person, even in her dreams. This is an age of "super communications" such as modern transportation systems and the instant communication of E-mail or cellular phones. "Meeting a person" is so much simpler now that we tend to say, "Oh, I can see him anytime" or "Oh, well, it doesn't have to be today". Don't we take "seeing someone" rather lightly these days? I am trying to give serious thoughts to the meaning of "meeting someone".

Belated snow on Christmas Day, like a post script.

Many people wish for a white Christmas on Christmas Day. However, unless you live in snow country, snow does not fall when you want it to. When snow finally started to fall in this area, Christmas was ending. Like the p.s. at the end of a letter, it fell for only a moment. After everyone had gone to bed, it came down quietly and unnoticed. The only ones who may have seen were the lovers who stayed up late, wanting to be together just a moment longer.
