Swimming toward me, he speaks words like sweet fruit.

One summer day we were out on a yacht, enjoying a cruise. After a while we stopped at a quiet inlet. I was reading on the deck and he began swimming out toward the sea.

I don't know how much time had passed, but when I looked up from my book, I saw him swimming back toward our boat. Suddenly he came up out of the water and tossed a few words to me.

His words were so fresh and sweet, like fruit just plucked from the tree and still sprinkled with morning dew.

What were his words?

Well, I will leave that up to your imagination.

Goldfish at night, wishing to fly in its dream.

Lovely, cool looking goldfish are raised artificially for human enjoyment. Most of them are kept in small tanks or in fishbowls.

Goldfish are always swimming in their small aquariums. They give us enjoyment all day long by undulating their beautiful colorful bodies, and gracefully swishing their veil-like tails. When night comes, and everyone is fast asleep, they too fall asleep. And they must also have their dreams.

The dream of the goldfish must be, like the birds that fly freely in the sky, to get out of their small tank, and fly about in the great wide sky to their hearts' content.

Having said farewell, I take off my earrings in the sunset.

That day I decided to say farewell to the man I had loved for a long time. I told him of my decision, we exchanged our last words, and I came home to my room in the late afternoon.

When a man comes home, the first thing he does is to take off his tie, and a woman takes off her earrings. It is a moment of relief. As I put my earrings on the window sill, I noticed the sky was all red in the sunset. Suddenly I thought, "It is all over now."

The sunset brightly paints the sky at the end of the day. They say after a beautiful sunset, the following day will have a fine weather. I wonder if I knew this saying at that time.

Coolness, because you are close where I can touch you.

Sometimes we must live so very far part because of our work or our families.

But today it is different for me.

He is here with me where I can touch him and hear his voice close to me.

The cool refreshing breeze that blows through the trees, the clear sound of wind chimes, the fountain that shoots its water high into the blue sky, the underwater flowers that sway in the glass; these are some of the many things that bring us coolness in the summer heat.

But the reason I feel the coolness is because he is near me and our love is so new and refreshingly cool.

And there on the beach, are the lost articles of summer.

Certainly, there were many things to remember by this summer. A person whose love started, whose love faded, whose dream had come true, who gave up a precious dream. There were crying, laughing, quarreling, coming together, and more.

People on the beach are only a few now, and summer is about to end. And there are many lost articles left on the beach. I wondered how many people spent their time on the beach, and how many stories had been born on this summer's beach.

A single beach sandal, empty soda cans, burnt fire crackers, a necklace made of shells with its broken chain. They are the remains of so many summer memories. They may be a part of stories that were born on this summer's beach.
